I’ve never considered myself an artist, but I’ve always loved working with my hands. 

Like so many others, I found myself pursuing some new interests during the pandemic. I’m a brewer by trade, but after leaving my job to stay home with our boys during the summer of 2020 I quickly realized that I needed to feed my desire to create. I dove into woodworking and created a small shop space in my garage. With a nudge from my wife, I discovered the creative possibilities of polymer clay jewelry, so I decided to give that a shot as well. As it turned out, she loved the pieces I made for her, and I really enjoyed making them. 

Direct From Mars is the result of my passion for creativity and craftsmanship. Every piece is designed by me and made with care by hand in my home shop. From coasters to earrings to wall art, this shop doesn’t always fit into a single category. That’s why I say it’s art for everyday life, and my hope is that it can bring joy into yours for years to come.
